Friday Food Tour 12.23.11

Only 2 shopping days left until Christmas! And I can totally gloat about that since I've been ready for Christmas since last weekend. Don't forget, gift cards from your favorite local restaurants are always a great gift. So... several "year end" wrap ups this week in the tour...

First up, we continue Cityview Food Dude's end of the year series with this article featuring Des Moines' Restaurateur and Chef of the Year.

Now on to the Datebook Diner's take on 2011. Here she gives us her Five Best Restaurants of 2011, at any price. Several of which we would definitely agree are tops in the metro.

And in addition to the places mentioned in the "best" restaurants article, Datebook Diner also featured her Best Bites of 2011. We need to try several of these dishes!

Another place we've yet to visit is Keller's Deli. Des Moines is Not Boring stopped in at Keller's Deli for this weeks' Why Eat at a Chain Wednesday. Add it to the list!
