Friday Food Tour 4.20.12
Apr 20, 2012 Well, it's the weekend. Just another couple of days for the Cubs to lose some games. It's tough being a Cubs fan normally, but the start of this season has decidedly dismal. But I remain hopeful we can fly the 'W' flag one of these days... on to the Food Tour.
B & B Grocery was featured on Roadfood recently. I can't believe I've never had a breaded tenderloin from there - I need to remedy that in a hurry.

We're definitely interested in visiting the new place in the Court Avenue district - The Standard. Especially after reading this post from Cityview's Food Dude. Looks like a great place for happy hour.
We love Gino's, the Des Moines classic on 6th Avenue in Des Moines. We've yet to venture out to the suburbs to check out the 'new' Gino's at West Glen, but might need to take the 12 mile trip out there sometime soon. Check out this Tasty Tale of two Gino's courtesy of the Des Moines Register.
Have you heard of Stacked Wines? No, it's not a new drinking game. It's a bottle of wine made out of break-off-able cups. Seriously, what will they think of next? Check it out here. Actually, I think it's pretty cool.
