Friday Food Tour 1.20.12

Ahhh... another lovely week of January in Iowa complete with snow, howling winds, and bitterly cold temperatures. It was one of those weeks where you stop and wonder why we continue to live here...oh yeah, it must be the weather. And get your Sorel boots out, I hear there's more fun on the way. But on to the Food Tour for today!

Irina's in Urbandale reopened recently after repairs caused by a roof collapse. In this Cityview article, Food Dude's review has me ready to head there tonight.

I love pizza. I mean, I reaaally love pizza. And I especially love crispy crunchy crust with that carmelized cheese stuck on it. So imagine my delight at finding this article from Serious Eats on the All-Edge Sicilian Pan Pizza made in a.... wait for it.... All-Edge Brownie Pan! I'm ordering one now.
