Friday Food Tour 7.11.14

We're well into July, already - where is the summer going?! I've only been to a handful of I-Cubs games, only taken one road trip, only eaten on the patio a few times...I need to get in gear or the summer will be gone in no time. What have y'all been doing with the long summer days? Anyhoo, we can see what some other people have been up to on the Friday Food Tour...

We only stopped in at The Standard once when it was open, so I guess I can't compare, but the new Stuffed Olive sounds pretty cool. Check out this article from DM Juice.

Have you ever eaten at Olympic Flame? We haven't been there forever - we had a really fun dinner there with some friends awhile back that involved waaay too much Ouzo! Slaking Fool was there recently and has this great review.

We love hot dogs and if you do too, I'm sure you've been to Capital Pub & Hot Dog Co. It was nice to see Distilled Opinion's view on the lively little weinery - photos of hot dogs make me hungry.

Grant say's Lou's Diner in Woodward is a great place for breakfast, and now we know it's a great place for breaded tenderloins, too! Thanks to this review from Des Loines, I see a trip to Lou's in my near future.

Anyone lucky enough to be heading up to Target Field in Minneapolis for the MLB All Star game? Well, if you are, or even if you'll be taking in a game some other time, you will be able to help yourself at a Self-Serve Beer Station! Drinking in America gives us the low-down on these awesome machines and how they work. Looks like fun to me!
