B Fabulous BBQ - Huxley

We're back on the road for this post, but not too far - we wanted you all to know about a great BBQ joint thats right on Highway 69 in Huxley, IA - B Fabulous BBQ. Located in the Ballard Plaza at 604 N. Hwy 69 in Huxley, owners Billy and Deanna Faubus have been serving up smokey goodness for over a year.

Specializing in smoked meats and picnic sides, everything at B Fabulous BBQ is homemade. They offer daily lunch specials, you can dine in or take out, and they also offer catering. Menu items include pulled pork, brisket, pork ribs, broasted chicken, rotisserie chicken, plus specials include burgers, pork loin, chicken pot pie, italian beef, and other meals your mom might have made!

There are both hot and cold sides to choose from - things like pasta or potato salad, coleslaw, broccoli salad, fiesta potatoes, cornbread salad, fruit salad, banana pudding, and more - all homemade. You can check out the full menu here.

The menu items for the day are up on the chalkboard as you head to the counter.

You place your order up at the counter and it's quickly in your hands, ready to eat.

They have a pretty big space, lots of tables and booths. Plus a separate 'party' room if you want to host a bigger group.

Grant ordered the special of the day, BBQ pork ribs, with broccoli salad and baked beans. He got 3 big and meaty bones - smokey, with a nice bark, and just a bit of their homemade BBQ sauce. It's a very satisfying lunch - OK, it's a big lunch, but it's worthy of that nap you'll feel like taking when you're done!

I went with the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and coleslaw. When I saw how much pork there was on the sandwich, I was all "oh, I'll never eat all of this." But then I did! Yeah, it was that good. I really liked their BBQ sauce, it's got great flavor with a bit of zing.
