Friday Food Tour 12.02.11

And we're back! We so enjoyed our long Thanksgiving weekend and hope you did, too. Our turkey from Foxhollow Farms, "Elrina," was excellent (we always name our turkey, don't you?) as was everything else we stuffed our faces with - Grant sure can put out the Thanksgiving feast. So let's get on with the Food Tour for this week...
Is the Des Moines metro becoming a sushi hotbed? Food Dude give us his insight on the latest food craze to hit the city in this post.
Another insightful post from the Datebook Diner this week. This one asks What's a Server to Do When the Guest is Wrong? I waited tables for several years (like 15 or so) and more guests need to read articles like this!
Des Loines heads to the Bluebird Diner in Iowa City for his latest breaded tenderloin adventure. Check out his review of this retro diner here.
We hardly ever eat at chain restaurants, which is why I love Des Moines is Not Boring's weekly feature, Why Eat a Chain Wednesday. This week Django is in the spotlight.
And finally, 'tis the season for Office Christmas Parties! You either love 'em or hate 'em - but the most important thing to know is... How Drunk Can You Get at Your Office Christmas Party? Be sure to print out this chart and take it with you!
Enjoy the possibly maybe snowy weekend.
