Friday Food Tour 1.06.12

So how is 2012 treating you so far? You've made your New Year's Resolution to eat and drink even more than last year, right? Oh wait, that's just mine. Anyway, lots of restaurant reviews around this week, plus some additional tidbits, so let's get to the Friday Food Tour!
Des Moines is Not Boring kicked off a new year of Why Eat at a Chain Wednesday with this review of the Cozy Cafe in Urbandale. Actually a local "chain," we need to try one of their 3 locations soon.
Can you believe I haven't had one breaded pork tenderloin yet this year? The horror! Des Loines' latest review is the Cajun Breaded Tenderloin from Al's Blue Toad in Cedar Rapids.
We haven't been to Noah's Ark in Des Moines forever and this review from the Datebook Diner reminds me that we need to stop in there soon!
Love Chile Relleno? Want to make it in a casserole? Slaking Fool's got you covered with this recipe. Sounds good and cheesy - just like any casserole should be, right?
And finally, if you're looking for a spring getaway, you might want to make plans to attend the 4th Annual New Orleans Roadfood Festival. Make room on your calendar from March 23 - 25 and you'll stuffed full of the best cuisine in New Orleans. And maybe a few drinks, too.
That's it, kids! Have a great weekend.
