Friday Food Tour  3.01.13

Wow, can't believe it's already March. Baseball will be here before you know it! And temps above 50. And no snow covered roads. It'll all be so exciting. But let's see what's what with the food tour this week...

Des Loines was up in our neck of the woods for his latest breaded tenderloin review. Take a look at the tenderloin you'll find at the Town & Country Cafe in Madrid.

Looking for a new Saturday morning breakfast idea? We don't post many breakfast recipes on Iowa Foodie, but this breakfast skillet from Iowa Girl Eats looks really good. I'm not much of a breakfast eater, but anything with bacon is OK with me.

If you're looking for some 'Bizzare Foods'-type ingredients, you definitely need to check out C Fresh Market. In this weeks' Cityview, Food Dude walks us through just a few of the interesting items you can find at this market.

A fun new event is coming to Des Moines on Wednesday, March 20th. Dishcrawl will feature 4 local restaurants in one night, with samples at each, and an opportunity to meet the chef or owners. Kind of like a pubcrawl, only with food! Tickets are $45 - more information here.
