Friday Food Tour 6.14.13

We'd like to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the Dads that hang out with us here at Iowa Foodie - hope you have a great weekend! And it's on to the food tour...

Grant has been wanting to try India Star for awhile - you'll probably want to visit too after reading this review from Cityview's Food Dude. The food coming out of that clay oven sounds delish.

It's always nice to find an economical place for good food - looks like La Pena is one such place on Des Moines south side. Check out this "$10 Lunch" article from Metromix Des Moines.

We've only been to Exile Brewing Company once so far, and it was during a packed happy hour. So it was nice to read this post from Slaking Fool on all of the great beer we missed and will have to try on our next visit.

If you enjoy Thai food, looks like King & I might be just the place for you. Eat Play Love Des Moines was there recently and gives us this review. The summer rolls look very tasty.
