Friday Food Tour  9.26.14

So... I missed posting on Tuesday, did you notice? Our whirlwind weekend in Omaha was so much fun, I couldn't stop goofing off to write a post. Seriously, we had some awesome meals during Omaha Restaurant Week, plus some very tasty craft beer at some great breweries - shouldn't be too long until our posts are up. I know what you're thinking, but really! Let's take a look at this weeks' food tour...

When we lived down in southern Iowa, we used to drive through Eddyville all the time, but we hardly ever stopped. After this post from Des Loines on Ford's Pub & Grill, I guess we should have! Another beauty of a breaded tenderloin.

Unfortunately, we missed the World Food Festival this year - we usually have a great time trying all of the interesting food. Good thing Mazy's Food Adventures was there for us all! Check out his post here

We ate at Malo recently (and will have a post up soon!), but I thought we'd all like to drool at these mouthwatering photos from Slaking Fool from his visit there. He really knows how to enjoy food.

It's that time of year again - pumpkin time! Those little (or really BIG) orange things are everywhere - so we might as well make some yummy desserts with them, right? I found this delectable dessert on Ally's Sweet and Savory Eats - Triple Layered Pumpkin Dessert - sounds delicious.

And since we're getting all pumpkin-y, what's not to love about a pumpkin cocktail? Drinking in America came up with this one - a Pumpkin Pie Martini. I need me some pumpkin liqueur!

Enjoy, from what the weather guys say, a beautiful weekend!
