Friday Food Tour 5.02.14
May 2, 2014 Did you notice I took a week off there? Sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging... plus, I'm lazy. But we're back at it this week with a look around the Iowa foodie scene once again - time for the Friday Food Tour!
The Downtown Des Moines Farmer's Market kicks off tomorrow morning! Could be a chilly beginning to your Saturday morning wanderings, but don't let that stop you. Eat Play Love Des Moines definitely has fun at the farmer's market - check out this great post.
The Iowa Brewery Tour is on the move again, this time with a visit to Backpocket Brewing. And it looks like their tumbler is now called Beer, Love, Iowa - if you're looking for it. That pizza looks delicious.
And speaking of pizza, over at the Formaro Files we've got some Roman Pizza going on. Some great pizza combinations to try at home and they all sound so good. Check out Roman Pizza: The Next Big Thing.
A big congrats! to Brick City Grill in Ames for being selected Iowa's Best Burger for 2014! It would have been my pick and if you need more convincing, just take a look at the awesome burgers in this recent post on Iowa Foodie!
Finally, maybe you need a new margarita receipe to help you celebrate Cinco de Mayo - how about 10 Cinco de Mayo Margaritas?! Food Network gives us all the details and I think I need to try each and every one. Not on the same day, though, that would not be good. Celebrate!
