Friday Food Tour 10.03.14

It looks like this weekend is going to be the polar opposite of last weeks' beautiful weather - emphasis on the polar! Hopefully, you'll find a nice warm restaurant and have a wonderful meal to celebrate the fall temps. So what do we have on the food tour this week....
I'm not a big brunch person myself, I'd rather just have lunch, but Grant is a fan. So he'll be happy to see this review from Eat Play Love Des Moines on brunch at Eatery A. I must admit, it looks tasty.
Found another well written review from Road Tips that I didn't see back in July for a great little spot in Ames - West Towne Pub. And since my love of burgers knows no end, I guess I'll have to go try one there!
We've visited the new-ish Firetrucker Brewery in Ankney a couple of times, so it was nice to see that Slaking Fool has been there and threw up some of his signature photos in this review for y'all. It's a cool place, worthy of a visit if you haven't stopped by.
It's definitely chili weather, so if you're looking for a new recipe to try, this one for Spicy, Smoky, Sweet Chili from Iowa Girl Eats looks like a winner. And you can make it in the crock pot, even better.
Last Friday we were all about the pumpkin cocktails, but what about the forgotten fall fruit - the apple? Well, Drinking in America didn't forget the apple. Here are a few fresh from the orchard apple cocktails - mmmm, apple drinks.
