Friday Food Tour 3.7.14

This seemed like such a l-o-n-g week, didn't it? I didn't think Friday would ever make an appearance, but what do you know, here it is. Looking forward to maybe checking out a new Iowa winery or a new bar this weekend, what about you? But I guess we better get to this weeks' Friday Food Tour first...

We've been meaning to check out Table 128 in Clive, just haven't made it out there yet. It was nice to see this review from Eat Play Love Des Moines, everything looks so good!

Here's a new to us blog from Anna at Midwest at It's Best - she writes about food, travel, and fun in general, so she's already good in our book! Check out this post on Kalona Brewing Company - sounds like we need a road trip.

The Iowa Food Blog just keeps on eating everywhere in DSM - love this review of Mad Meatball. Looks like it's a kid-friendly place, too. That cheese bread looks tasty.

Have you been to Cityscape Lounge yet? Chef Kris Van Tuyl has really made some excellent menu changes and I hear the view is stellar. Distilled Opinion was there recently and delivers a great post with some very nice food photos, too.

So, spring will come eventually, right? In the meantime, I'm still missing my tropical vacation this year and needed a good Boat Drink to let me pretend I'm down in the Caribbean - The Island Boy cocktail from Rum Shop Ryan looks like it will do the trick!
