Friday Food Tour 7.05.13

I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July. We had a great day with family and friends, enjoyed some hot dogs on the grill, had a few beers - perfect 4th of July. And we still have plenty of weekend left! So let's get on to the Food Tour...

Cityview's Food Dude has a great write-up of an old favorite of many, Great China on Hickman Road. We haven't been there for awhile, but sounds like a visit is in order.

I came across another 'new-to-me' food blog the other day. Dine Des Moines has some excellent restaurant reviews and photos. I enjoyed this post about her experience on the latest Dishcrawl.

We're right in the middle of grill season, so if you're looking for a new recipe that's sure to be a hit, try CoryEats Ribeye Steak Sandwich. Sure looks like something I need to be eating this weekend.

I'm sure I've mentioned my love for Brazil's most famous cocktail, the Caipirinha - it's definitely a cocktail made for summer days. Drinking in America gives us some great info on what brands of cachaca (the booze in the caipirinha) are available in the US. Then mix one up!
