I recently found Edible Communites, Iowa River Valley's website. They have some excellent features from across Iowa. Larry Cleverly is in this quarter's issue. 

I would love to take one of these "Centro's Cooking with George" classes. The dinners sound fabulous, too.

We've been reading local blog Des Loines for quite a while. We definitely share their love of the breaded tenderloin and have found several of their recommendations to be spot on. He checks out the tenderloin at Smokey D's here.

This week's 'Ask Rubo' on chow.com had me spewing Diet Coke everywhere. Rubo's take on celebrity chefs is a must read.

And if you were lucky enough to score tickets to the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival next week (which we weren't, dang it), get your pearly whites in tip top shape with this. With a full week of festivities, you may need two tubes. Plan ahead.
