Speaking of food events, you won't want to miss the upcoming Spring 2011 Farm Cruise. The "cruise" includes both Polk and Story counties just a short drive from the Des Moines metro area. You can talk with the farmers, purchase some local products, see demonstrations and even sample some treats.

Have you downloaded the new Iowa Wine and Beer app? It's free and includes a directory of all the Iowa wineries and breweries. Believe me, we'd have saved a lot of time if we'd had this app last summer. Check out some of those wineries and breweries at www.iowawineandbeer.com.
