Mar 21, 2014 Well, spring is finally here. Bring on the grilling out on the deck, baseball, and mowing the lawn! OK, maybe not mowing the lawn, but you know what I mean. Happy Spring! Let's check out what we've got on this weeks' Friday Food Tour...
Looks like the Iowa Brewery Tour was back in Des Moines recently with a stop at Court Avenue Brewing Co. - glad they got the sampler, that place has some really good beer and you don't want to miss any of it. Check out their post here.
The Iowa Food Blog was at the Hotel Pattee's new Milwaukee Diner recently and has a great review of not only the food, but the whole ambiance of the place! We hope to get up there ourselves soon - looks like some big improvements are happening.
You all know how I love pizza, so I couldn't believe I had missed this review from Road Tips on Michael's Pizza in Beaverdale! Just looking at the photos of that cheesy goodness makes me want to go there right now.
We rarely get over by Hamlin, Iowa, and after reading this review from Des Loines on Darrell's Place, that's a darn shame. This looks like a fab-u-lous breaded tenderloin that maybe even deserves a road trip to go and taste it!
Since it's officially Spring, I sure hope that means we'll be able to sit out on the patio for happy hour pretty darn soon. And of course, we're going to need a cocktail, right? How about some innovative Spring Happy Hour cocktails from Town & Country? Yes, please!
