Friday Food Tour 7.26.13

Another gorgeous Iowa weekend is on the way, can't wait to enjoy those moderate temps. I apologize for the lack of a Tuesday post this week - my mom is in town visiting for a week and we've been keeping busy! I hope to be back on track for next week. Let's get on to the food tour...

We're all trying to eat more 'local' food, so this article from Iowa Living Magazines on HoQ was quite the statement. They are certainly doing their part to enhance their menu with local products.

This past Tuesday was National Hot Dog Day - did you remember to have a hot dog? Dine Des Moines did it up right and here's her write-up on the yummy dogs she had at Capital Pub & Hot Dog.

Does it bother you to dine alone in a restaurant or bar? It doesn't bother me at all, but I sure appreciated the insight from Cityview's Food Dude on Solo Dining.
