The Gigglin' Goat - Boone

We took off on a drive a few Saturdays ago, looking for a new place for lunch. When we happened upon The Gigglin' Goat, it looked like just the spot. In what used to be an old Fareway store, The Gigglin' Goat is now a sports bar, restaurant and reception hall - a truly unique dining space in Boone.
The menu is huge and features all of your favorite appetizers - like Spinach Artichoke Dip, wings, chips and queso, and Monster Nachos - soups and salads, including a Steakhouse Salad and White Bean Chili, plus a wide variety of sandwiches. You'll find everything from a cajun flavored wrap to burgers to a Mediterranean Portabella sandwich. A kids menu is available and they also feature a few desserts.
We ate in the Sports Bar and there are several beers available on tap as well as a full bar. They feature drink specials every day, too.
In my never ending quest to find the perfect breaded tenderloin, I ordered one at The Gigglin' Goat. It was pretty thick, hand-breaded with a little seasoning and fried to a perfect crisp. Nice and juicy, it definitely satisfied my craving for porky goodness.
Grant went with the soup and half sandwich deal - vegetable beef soup and a reuben hit the spot for him.
There are plenty of TV's for you to watch the games, lots of seating at the bar and tables - it was a clean, friendly and fun spot for lunch. We'd definitely recommend a stop should you find yourself in Boone, Iowa.
